Gina Foster, owner of Urban Lash—a premier eyelash extension studio in Baton Rouge, LA—began to notice issues with damaged natural lashes and poorly-applied extensions on her new clients, some of whom were experiencing pain. Initially, she attributed these problems to the lash technicians themselves. However, after conducting some research, she discovered that the training many technicians received was inadequate in several key areas.

Most available training programs came from out-of-state academies that would offer brief, sporadic classes and then return only months later for the next session. These instructors were not present to provide ongoing support or hands-on assistance for students who struggled with their techniques.

Recognizing the need for a more accessible and supportive local training option, Gina envisioned a program where students could easily seek help or additional lessons without having to pay for a full course again. Determined to provide continuous, personalized coaching, Gina founded LA Lash Academy to guide students every step of the way on their journey to lash mastery.
